About the Role
As the Middle Years Maths & Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons primarily across Years 8 and 9. The current allotment includes a combination of Mathematics and Science classes, with the same student cohorts across both learning areas, allowing teachers to build strong relationships and continuity of learning with students.
The school is open to shaping the allotment around the successful candidate's strengths, with flexibility for the role to become more Maths‐focused or Science‐focused moving into Semester 2. Teachers with Physical Education experience or future interest in VCE Mathematics will also be viewed favourably.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Maths and Science lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum
* Teach middle years students across Years 8 and 9
* Create a classroom culture that promotes curiosity, engagement and positive learning behaviours
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback
* Work collaboratively with faculty teams to support curriculum delivery and student outcomes
* Contribute positively to the broader school community and team culture
You will have
* Tertiary qualifications in Education, Mathematics, Science or a related discipline
* Current or pending Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
* Demonstrated experience teaching secondary Mathematics and/or Science
* Strong classroom management and relationship‐building skills
* Ability to deliver engaging and differentiated middle years learning programs
* Flexibility and willingness to contribute across multiple learning areas where required
