Lead a busy bottle recycling facilityinTamworth as Warehouse Supervisor.
Thishands on,permanent full-timerole will report to the Return & Earn Area Manager and is responsible for supervising the overall day-to-day operations at the site, including the supervision of a small team of warehouse assistants/ production hands.
To be able to effectively manage the fast-paced operations, you will need strong leadership and organisational skills.
Your Responsibility
Assign, plan and delegate workflow activities of the warehouse to ensure efficient and accurate processing of container deposits with minimum damage from handling
Provide a safe environment for workers and visitors, ensuring that WHS procedures are understood and practiced always
Monitor and coordinate bulk bin collections and safe truck movements on site by service partner
Coordinate repairs, cleaning and maintenance of warehouse equipment
Schedule and oversee the disposal of rejected containers or other waste items as appropriate
Demonstrate team leadership via regular communication and attention to quality assurance and consistently high standards of performance
Efficient rostering, maintaining budget & Continuous Improvement mind set
Be available to work your share of weekends – Site open 7 Days
You Will Need
Demonstrated experience as Warehouse supervisor; proven leadership skills (5+ yrs Desirable)
Willingness to promote our services within the community & local businesses
Excellent organisational skills
Demonstrated understanding of WHS and effective implementation of safety procedures
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and Point of Sale (POS) systems
Current Driver Licence
Forklift Licence (Desirable) or willing to obtain
