Join ORIMA Research as a First Nations Graduate Research Assistant to develop social research skills within a supportive, culturally informed environment.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
* Working alongside the specialist First Nations Research Division
* Gaining experience in research consultancy focused on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
* Participating in social research projects under the guidance of experienced researchers and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Principal Advisor
* Contributing to culturally informed and appropriate research activities
About You
The company is looking for:
* Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples only
* A Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant fields such as psychology, social sciences, market research, marketing and communications, law, arts, commerce, or economics
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* High level of organisational and time management skills
* Self-motivated with a positive attitude
* Demonstrated interest in the public sector and/or social research
Desirable but not essential:
* Knowledge, connection, and experience with diverse Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
* Understanding or willingness to learn about the public sector environment
* Exposure to focus groups, moderation, facilitation, or qualitative research analysis
