Lawyers – Corporate and Program Delivery
CRRDA is inviting early‑career lawyers to join either the Program Delivery or Corporate Legal teams. You will provide legal advice, draft contracts and correspondence, conduct research, and support internal and external stakeholders. Roles are fixed‑term until late 2028.
About the Role
Two opportunities are available:
- • Lawyer – Program Delivery : Ideal for an early‑career lawyer (up to 3 years PQE) interested in construction and projects. Provide legal advice on delivery, contract review, research, and risk identification.
- • Lawyer – Corporate : Suited to an early‑career lawyer (up to 3 years PQE) interested in property and public law. Assist with land access, tenure, regulatory issues, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Lawyer – Program Delivery
- Provide timely legal advice on project delivery and contracts.
- Support legal risk management with Program Delivery and Commercial teams.
- Conduct legal research and assist in preparing advice.
- Review and draft contracts, legal correspondence, governance documents.
- Contribute to contract management and dispute resolution.
- Prepare legal input for internal briefings.
- Support coordination of external legal services.
Lawyer – Corporate
- Assist with land tenure and property‑related legal risks.
- Conduct legal research and prepare advice on legislative, contractual, and property matters.
- Draft briefing papers and communications for CEO, Minister, and Board.
- Support legislative compliance and policy document review.
- Review and revise legal documents, including contracts and leases.
- Coordinate outside counsel and manage external legal services.
- Contribute to legal knowledge sharing and training.
About You
- Foundational experience in legal practice, ideally with exposure to infrastructure, construction, government or property law.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft contracts and briefing materials in a fast‑paced workplace.
- Sound legal research and analytical skills, attention to detail, and a practical approach to problem‑solving.
- Ability to manage tasks independently, prioritise competing deadlines, and seek guidance when needed.
- Confidence engaging with internal and external stakeholders, building effective working relationships.
- High ethical standards, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Admission (or immediate eligibility) as a legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of Queensland.
