About the role
We have a great opportunity for a Contract Administrator to join our South Australia team. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will be responsible for
* Work under the direction of the Contract Administrator or the Project Manager as appropriate to protect and enhance the commercial position of the project.
* Ensure project compliance with the company's commercial guidelines.
* Ensure that the financial reporting, including cost to complete of the project, is current and accurate.
* Ensure that all subcontracts are executed, delivered and closed out in accordance with Company commercial policies and guidelines.
* Support the Contract Administrator and/or the Project Manager through the commercial aspects of contract negotiations and disputes with the Superintendent and Subcontractors as applicable.
* Ensure that head contract and subcontract obligations are understood by the site team.
About you
To be successful in this role you will:
* Hold relevant qualifications in Law, Finance, Building or Quantity Surveying and/or have previous Project/Contract Administration experience or the demonstrated ability to acquire such knowledge in a short time.
* Demonstrate experience or the ability to acquire knowledge in the commercial building industry to assess claims or variations by subcontractors against the quantity claimed and the contractual requirements.
* Show experience or the ability to acquire knowledge in cost reporting and financial management.
* Display the ability to analyse contractual issues and provide and/or recommend solutions through appropriate problem‐solving techniques.
