Norton Gold Fields is seeking an accomplished Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a key role supporting the strategic and operational success of our mining operations by delivering high-quality financial insights, governance, and decision support. You will work closely with operations, engineering, and senior leadership to ensure financial performance is optimised across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely management and financial reports, with actionable analysis.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, monitor variances, and provide recommendations.
- Manage costs, track operational KPIs, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and internal controls, supporting audits where required.
- Deliver financial modelling, feasibility studies, and commercial analysis to guide investment and long-term planning.
- Partner with operational teams to provide expert financial advice and foster cross-functional collaboration.
- Mentor and support junior finance professionals, helping build team capability.
- Drive system and process improvements to enhance reporting and decision-making.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA, CA, CMA (or equivalent professional designation).
- Extensive experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or similar roles.
- Previous exposure to mining/resources, with knowledge of operational and financial challenges in the sector.
- Strong technical skills in financial systems (SAP/Pronto desirable), advanced Excel, and financial modelling.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance attention to detail with a commercial and strategic outlook.
