Senior Leader, Financial Crimes Governance & Capability

You'll have the autonomy to influence frameworks, processes and ways of working while building a strong risk culture and delivering meaningful change.

This is a hands‐on leadership role that combines strategic oversight with operational execution. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to strengthen controls, drive capability uplift and ensure the organisation remains resilient to emerging financial crime threats.

Specifically, this will include:

* Leading financial crime governance, capability and risk management activities.
* Developing and enhancing policies, procedures and control frameworks.
* Driving quality assurance, quality control and continuous improvement programs.
* Leading training and capability initiatives across Financial Crime Operations.
* Monitoring and reporting on KPIs, SLAs, obligations, risks and controls.
* Delivering actionable insights to support executive decision‐making.
* Partnering with Risk, Compliance, Technology and Operations teams.
* Supporting regulatory engagement, audits and assurance activities.
* Leading financial crime change initiatives and framework uplift programs.
* Building and developing a high‐performing team focused on excellence.

About you:

You are a collaborative leader who builds trusted relationships, develops others and influences outcomes through credibility and clear communication. You foster accountability, continuous improvement and a positive team culture.

We also seek:

* Extensive experience in financial crime, risk, compliance or governance leadership.
* Strong knowledge of AML/CTF, fraud, scams, sanctions and regulatory obligations.
* Proven experience designing and implementing frameworks, policies and controls.
* Strong analytical, problem‐solving and decision‐making capabilities.
* Experience engaging with regulators, auditors and executive stakeholders.
* Demonstrated success leading teams, change programs and operational improvements.
* Ability to translate complex risk issues into clear business outcomes.

Qualifications: Qualifications in Financial Crime, Risk Management, Business, Commerce, Law or a related discipline are highly regarded, along with professional certifications such as CAMS, CFE or equivalent.Location: As our operational teams are based in Adelaide, Toowoomba and Brisbane, candidates from these locations are highly welcomed as well as Sydney and Melbourne based applicants.Why you'll love working with us:
