Administrative Support Expertise Sought
The role of Senior Administration Officer is a pivotal position within the University, requiring an individual to provide exceptional administrative support and front-of-house reception to Academic Units across Sciences and Engineering.
This senior administration officer will serve as a point of reference for Administrative Officers on more complex requests, contributing to a people-centred service experience by developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
* Provide high-quality administrative services to assist and support the service delivery needs of the Academic Units.
* Act as a point of escalation for less experienced team members, guiding them in response to a broad range of queries received from Academic Units.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and effective use of university systems.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and projects while ensuring compliance with relevant legislative requirements, internal policy, and procedures.
Required Skills:
* Demonstrated administrative skills including experience with email, spreadsheet database, presentation software, and the internet as a resource.
* Commitment to customer service excellence and proactive contribution to the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and procedures.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and act as a point of escalation for less experienced team members.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling interaction with a wide range of stakeholders with a positive can-do attitude.
* Exceptional organisational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise and complete tasks within defined deadlines.
