WA Public School Jobs – Noranda WA. We are seeking to establish a pool of Science Teachers for permanent and fixed‐term, full‐time and part‐time vacancies that may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Morley Senior High School's (SHS) vision is to celebrate diversity and cater for the needs of all students, with the goal of everyone achieving their personal best. Students in Years 7 to 10 have access to engaging programs, including two Department of Education‐approved specialist programs: Aviation Academy and the Media Arts Design Academy. In addition, we also have the school‐based merit selected Performance Plus program and Soccer Academy, and operate our Intensive Language Centre.

The Role

We are looking for dynamic and collaborative individuals who are committed to working effectively as part of a team and who strive to connect and inspire with staff, students, and the wider school community. Suitable applicants should have excellent interpersonal skills, be relationship‐focused and be able to take on course‐leadership responsibilities. Building positive relationships with students, staff and the community are important components of the role. You should have a strong evidence‐based approach to teaching, be reflective in assessing the effectiveness of your teaching practice to support professional growth and be able to display how your pedagogy has actively resulted in improved outcomes and progression for your students.

Ideal candidates are experts and passionate teachers of science who are committed to excellence in teaching and learning. They should be able to display an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and experience in developing and delivering the curriculum using a wide range of teaching models. Qualifications and experience in teaching any of the following subjects will be considered highly desirable: Science, Biology (ATAR), Chemistry (ATAR), Human Biology (ATAR) and General, Physics (ATAR), Psychology (ATAR), Science in Practice and/or Certificate III in Laboratory Skills.

Ideal applicants are inclusive in their practice and able to cultivate a safe and accountable learning environment for students in varying ability levels across Year 7 to 12. They should be highly proficient in motivating and engaging students through relevant and meaningful learning programs and be able to demonstrate the effective use of information and communication technologies in the teaching of Science.

Eligibility

* Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.

* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
