This position is suitable for practitioners with experience and an interest in working within the disability and complex mental health in an adult and youth forensic space.
You'll work alongside care teams, families, and the systems that support them to implement real, evidence-based interventions in real-world settings.
What You'll Be Doing
We currently deliver both direct (e.g. intervention) and indirect (e.g. forensic reports) services to individuals with complex needs under legislative frameworks. The successful candidate will deliver person-centred services including:

* Identifying appropriate supports, interventions and service models for individuals with forensic orders or at risk of contact with the justice system.
* Supporting individuals transitioning from prison to community living under various frameworks.
* Preparing, writing and delivering assessment reports for supporting bodies (e.g. state/territory Department and the National Disability Insurance Scheme).
* Providing high-level clinical consulting, leadership and reflective practice opportunities in multidisciplinary meetings.
* Providing consultation, training and advice to teams directly supporting clients (e.g. disability support workers).
* Collaborating with a wide range of professionals (e.g. allied health, mental health, forensic services, disability support services).
* Providing behaviour support for clients with complex disabilities and psychosocial needs, including developing behaviour support plans and training/implementing plans.
* Developing and delivering a range of direct interventions (e.g. offence-specific and offence-related interventions).
The position will be based in Ringwood and include travel around the Melbourne metro area, with opportunities for regional/remote and interstate projects, and an option to work from home for administration/report writing.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Tertiary qualification in a related discipline relevant to forensic practice, disability support and/or behaviour support, and relevant registration with the appropriate regulatory board (e.g. AHPRA) and/or registration with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
* Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, mental health issues and/or experiences of trauma who have complex needs.
* Experience within the forensic field and knowledge of relevant forensic frameworks; experience working under legislative frameworks is desirable.
