Offer description

Council is seeking a motivated and organised casual Compliance Administration Officer to join our Health & Compliance Team. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys a varied workload and working closely with the community.

About the role…
Reporting to the Health & Compliance Team, you will provide professional administrative and compliance support across a range of regulatory services within the municipality. The role involves responding to customer requests, maintaining accurate records, preparing correspondence and reports, supporting investigations and assisting with compliance activities in accordance with relevant legislation, Council by-laws and policies. You will also assist with areas including animal management, parking complaints, infringement processing, data entry and general compliance administration. This is a diverse role that combines office-based administration with occasional field-based duties.

About you…
You will be an organised and adaptable professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and approach sensitive situations in a calm and respectful manner.
To be successful in the role you will have:

* Demonstrated administrative experience and strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A professional approach to customer service and conflict resolution
* Knowledge of animal husbandry, animal control, kennel and facility operations
* The ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies and procedures
* A current driver’s licence is essential.

Experience in compliance, local government, animal management or investigations will be highly regarded.
