Job Description

The People and Culture Partner provides practical, expert support to divisional leaders on employee matters. This includes managing performance, conduct, wellbeing, and grievance issues in line with internal policies.

The role helps leaders build capability in managing people, supports workforce planning through insights, and escalates complex matters when needed. It also contributes to a positive employee experience and continuous improvement in case management.

* Manage employee performance, conduct, wellbeing, and grievance cases in line with policies, legislation, and industrial requirements, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.
* Provide clear, practical advice to leaders on disciplinary processes, return-to-work plans, and employee support.
* Escalate complex or high-risk matters to senior People and Culture leaders as appropriate.
* Coach leaders to effectively manage team behaviour and foster inclusive, respectful workplaces.
* Support organisational change, including role transitions, redeployment, and workforce adjustments.
* Ensure compliance with case management frameworks and identify opportunities to improve processes and documentation.
* Work closely with senior People and Culture partners to align case management with broader people strategies.
* Share trends, risks, and workforce insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.
* Provide workforce data and analysis to inform planning, engagement, and service delivery.

The Successful Applicant

A successful People and Culture Partner should have:

* Demonstrated experience in a human resources advisory, business partnering and/or similar role.
* Strong understanding of public sector policies and compliance requirements is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to analyse data and provide strategic recommendations.
* Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.
* Problem-solving skills with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
