The Unit provides a person and population focused response to communicable and non-communicable diseases, and environmental health hazards, by undertaking risk assessments, delivering immunisation services, health surveillance, prevention programs, public health incident response and monitoring and enforcing public health GCPHU team comprises specialists with expertise in many areas including communicable disease control, immunisation, health surveillance, epidemiology, environmental health, research, water quality, risk assessment, food safety standards and public health regulation.
