We are seeking a passionate and capable Head of People, Culture & Wellbeing to join our leadership team and help support the continued growth and success of our organisation.
This is a practical and people‐focused leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with teams, building strong workplace culture and partnering with operational leaders to achieve meaningful outcomes.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, you will lead the People, Culture & Wellbeing team while working closely alongside Centre Managers, operational leaders and support office teams across the organisation to provide practical, hands‐on support in workforce planning, employee relations, grievance management, compliance, recruitment, leadership support and team development.
What You'll Be Responsible For
* Supporting employee engagement and workplace culture initiatives
* Leading recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle processes
* Providing coaching and support to leaders on performance and employee matters
* Managing grievance handling, investigations and workplace relations matters
* Supporting policy implementation, HR compliance and procedural consistency
* Overseeing mandatory training, workforce compliance and staffing records
* Managing wage subsidies, sponsorships and visa monitoring processes
* Supporting workforce planning and retention initiatives
* Leading the People, Culture & Wellbeing team and supporting day‐to‐day operations
* Monitoring workforce reporting, compliance and HR systems
* Supporting Child Safe Standards and safeguarding obligations
You will work closely with Operations, Finance, Marketing, Development and leadership teams to ensure our people practices support both compliance and positive workplace culture outcomes.
About You
You are approachable, organised, solutions‐focused and confident working within a fast‐paced operational environment. You enjoy balancing people support with accountability and understand the importance of strong communication, responsiveness and practical leadership.
Ideal qualifications and experience:
* Experience in a senior HR, People & Culture or workforce leadership role
* Strong understanding of employee relations and workplace legislation
* Experience managing investigations, grievances and employee matters
* Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding and workforce compliance
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* A collaborative and hands‐on leadership approach
* Experience within multi‐site operations will be highly regarded
* Experience within Early Childhood Education or similarly regulated industries is advantageous
* Understanding of Child Safe Standards and safeguarding obligations
* Current Queensland Blue Card (or ability to obtain prior to commencement)
* Current valid driver's licence and willingness to travel between locations as required
