AusNet is seeking an
Electronic Security Technician
to join our Security and Network Control team to maintain, manage and commission technical security equipment and systems used to protect people, property, assets and information across AusNet.
Working closely with a contracted workforce, this role will be responsible for the planning and delivery for asset management of our security infrastructure in both our preventative and reactive maintenance programs, as well as assisting with new installations.
Responsibilities
Ability to identify and rectify faults in electric fencing, gates, cameras, alarms, access control infrastructure
Design, execute and maintain a preventative maintenance plan for cameras, access control and electric fencing
Investigation and assurance on common faults and / or contractors' products to identify areas for improvement, including providing detailed reports
Monitoring regulatory compliance under relevant Acts to ensure strict adherence to all requirements
Drive compliance to the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act ****
Qualifications
Experience in the electronic security industry
Currently or previously a licensed security technician
Cert 3 or undergoing Cert 3 qualification in electrical, security or allied industries
EWP Licence and White card
Knowledge and experience in CCTV systems (Milestone preferred) and CCTV Cameras (AXIS preferred)
Ability to think independently, adapt quickly, and make sound decisions in high-pressure environments
Must demonstrate proven advocacy skills pertaining to implementation of security measures within a complex environment
Well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills and the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders
Note: Regular travel within Victoria for short periods will be required (tool of trade vehicle provided).
