Accountant/Bookkeeper Role
We are seeking an applicant with a can-do attitude, a friendly & approachable personality, and highly developed communication & interpersonal skills.
* Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping (preferably working in Public Practice)
* Strong business acumen with problem-solving skills
* Highly organised with the ability to show initiative and work under pressure
* Self-motivated with a desire to learn
* Strong relationship building skills
* Tech-savvy and able to adapt to new systems
* Great attention to detail
* Advanced experience with accounting software (MYOB and Xero experience is preferred).
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing Business Activity Statements, Financial Statements, and Income Tax Returns
Data entry into accounting software
Assisting clients with their bookkeeping
Engaging with clients regarding queries to ensure job completion
Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office on behalf of clients
Providing payroll and superannuation services
Supporting our SMSF processing team
Tax planning analysis and report preparation
ASIC Compliance work
