POSITION SUMMARY
FMR Investments is seeking an experienced ROM (Run of Mine) Loader Operator based at our Greenfields Mill, approximately 3km east of Coolgardie. The company provides transport between the site and Kalgoorlie. This residential (No FIFO) role operates on a 8:6/7:7 roster, rotating between 12hr day and night shifts.
ROLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Loader Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating front-end loaders to manage material movement within the gold processing plant. This includes feeding ROM (Run-of-Mine) stockpiles, managing ore blending, transporting materials and supporting plant operations as required.
Key Responsibilities
Operate loaders to feed ROM bins and load trucks/hoppers with ore, tailings, and reagents.
Manage stockpiles and ore blending to specification requirements.
Complete pre-start inspections, maintenance logs, and report equipment defects or safety incidents.
Follow site safety procedures, permits, and participate in safety meetings and risk assessments.
Maintain equipment cleanliness, housekeeping standards, and efficient fuel/equipment usage.
Respond to Shift Supervisor instructions and maintain accurate shift, fuel, and operating records.
Equipment
CAT 988, Volvo 260H, or equivalent front-end loaders
Loadrite or onboard weighing systems
Pronto or similar maintenance reporting systems
Skytrust (for safety observations and incident reports)
Basic computer systems for logging and handovers
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Pass National Police Check and security clearance for gold handling.
Australian recognised Loader Operator Ticket.
Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence.
Demonstrated experience operating loaders in a mining or industrial setting
Basic mechanical knowledge of equipment
Reside locally in the Goldfields region of Western Australia (no FIFO available).
Physically fit and able to work in hot, secure, and confined environments.
Results driven with strong attention to detail.
High initiative, a can-do attitude, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Flexible and adaptable with strong problem-solving skills.
Team-oriented with ability to effectively collaborate with other trades and stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions.

High Risk Work Licence (HRWL)
Confined Space ticket
First Aid or Emergency Response training
Exposure to gold processing environments
Experience using Pronto, Loadrite, or similar systems
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Must have full legal rights to work in Australia and the ability to pass a National Police Clearance and fitness to work medical including drug and alcohol screening.
