Senior Property Photographer & Team Leader

As we continue to grow in 2026, we are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Photography to lead from the front — someone with a proven track record in property or architectural photography, exceptional creative standards, and the ambition to play a key leadership role within a high-performing team.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior position within a respected brand that works with some of Melbourne's leading real estate agencies, developers, and property groups.
Applicants must have proven experience in real estate/property photography as well as previous experience leading or managing creative teams. Applications without direct industry experience will not be considered.
About the Role
This is a hands‐on leadership role suited to a highly experienced property photographer who thrives in a fast‐paced environment and understands both the creative and operational demands of premium real estate media.
You'll be responsible for producing exceptional imagery while helping lead, mentor, and elevate our photography team and creative standards across the business.
The successful candidate will bring professionalism, efficiency, initiative, and a genuine passion for producing industry‐leading work.
Key Responsibilities
Capture premium-quality property and architectural photography across residential and commercial projects, consistently delivering imagery that exceeds industry standards.
Provide leadership and direction to the photography team, helping maintain consistency, quality control, workflow efficiency, and creative excellence across all projects.
Creative Direction & Attention to Detail
Use your strong creative eye and attention to detail to ensure every property is presented at its absolute best. This includes styling adjustments, composition, lighting, and refining spaces on‐site to maximise visual impact.
Client & Team Management
Build strong relationships with agents, vendors, developers, and internal team members. Represent the Impress Photography brand with professionalism, confidence, and outstanding customer service at every interaction.
Assist in mentoring and developing junior photographers while contributing to a positive and high‐performing team culture.
Workflow & Delivery
Manage daily shoots and workflow efficiently to ensure the timely delivery of content to our in‐house editing and production teams, while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
About You
We are looking for a confident, experienced, and motivated creative professional who is passionate about real estate media and leadership.
Minimum 5+ years experience in real estate and/or architectural photography
Proven experience managing, mentoring, or leading photography/creative teams
Deep understanding of property marketing and visual presentation
Ability to work autonomously while leading within a collaborative team environment
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
Exceptional attention to detail and consistency
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to perform under pressure in a fast‐paced industry
Positive attitude with a growth mindset and leadership mentality
Highly Regarded Additional Skills
Videography
Drone operation (RePL preferred)
Floorplan sketching
Experience directing shoots or managing creative teams
Knowledge of real estate marketing campaigns and media strategy
