Join the Department for Child Protection as a Senior Project Officer based in Adelaide, working within the Out of Home Care Directorate. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design and implementation of complex and strategic projects that enhance service delivery and outcomes for children and young people. Collaborating with internal and external partners, you’ll drive quality, innovation and best practice in trauma‑informed care, ensuring that programmes and policies meet community needs and align with DCP’s vision for better futures.
In this role, you will
- Lead the design, implementation and evaluation of strategic projects that improve service delivery and outcomes for children and young people.
- Develop evidence‑based policies, guidelines and procedures that support quality practice and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and project delivery.
- Analyse complex data and research to inform decision‑making, reporting and service planning.
- Provide expert advice, reports and recommendations to inform strategic and operational directions within Out of Home Care.
To be successful
You will bring proven experience in leading and managing complex projects within a policy or service delivery environment, coupled with a strong understanding of child protection and trauma‑informed practice. Your ability to plan, implement and evaluate strategic initiatives will be essential in ensuring the success of key projects within Out of Home Care.
As a confident communicator and relationship builder, you will engage effectively with a range of stakeholders to influence outcomes and drive service improvements. Your analytical and problem‑solving skills will enable you to translate insights into meaningful actions that enhance outcomes for children, young people and families.
