Casual Disability Support Workers (Residential – Active Nights, Sleepovers) At ConnectGV, we're connected; to our people, to our community, and to the individuals we support across the Goulburn Valley. We are seeking Casual Disability Support Workers to join our residential team and provide person‐centred support that makes a real difference.
We are primarily seeking staff for active night and sleepover shifts, with some AM and PM shifts also available. While flexibility across shifts is valued, our main priority is recruiting staff who are available for overnight support.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker with ConnectGV, you will:
* Provide individualised support to residents in line with their personal goals and support plans.
* Assist with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, transport, medication support, and community participation.
* Work across a range of shifts, including sleepovers, nights, active nights, weekends, and public holidays, to ensure consistent 24/7 support for individuals.
* Safeguard the rights, dignity, and wellbeing of the people we support.
* Contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive home environment.
About You
We are looking for people who are:
* Compassionate, reliable, and committed to supporting others.
* Flexible and available to work a mix of evening, overnight (sleepover & active nights) and weekend shifts.
* Team players who can also work independently.
* Confident in assisting with personal care and health support (training provided where required).
* Able to communicate clearly and build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 12 months experience in disability, community or health services, including supporting people with health or behavioural needs.
* Experience or maturity enabling effective support for people with intellectual, physical, multiple disabilities or ABI.
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent (desirable).
Mandatory for All Applicants
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
* National Criminal History (Police) Check
* Working with Children Check – Employee
* Current Victorian Driver's Licence (for Level 2 positions)
* Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009), or willingness to complete the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
* Access to an electronic device and internet (e.g. smart phone / tablet) for work use.
