We are seeking a passionate Systems Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in Australia.
What You'll Do
* Day to day administration, troubleshooting, and patching of our various platforms and applications
* Security patching and software updates outside of business hours
* Occasional datacenter work for hardware upgrades/maintenance
* Security‐first thinking, always considering the impact of any work or change
* Identifying problems and areas for improvement in configurations and procedures
* Create and maintain comprehensive and high quality technical documentation for systems, procedures, and configurations
* Upskilling on new applications that the team deploy and manage
* Collaborate with other departments to deliver the best quality solutions
What You'll Bring
* Must be able and willing to obtain an NV1 security clearance (Requires Australian citizenship)
* Solid experience with the following products and technologies;
* Linux server operating systems and applications
* Veeam Backup product suite
* Networking and Security fundamentals
* Your approach to technology and work ethic must align with the team;
* Curiosity and drive to learn and truly understand how our systems and technologies work
* Failure‐Mode thinking - Anticipating problems and addressing them proactively
* Strong troubleshooting skills, with drive to understand the problem and to solve it the right way
* Detail‐orientated, striving for excellence and producing work that you're proud of
* Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to IT and non‐IT stakeholders
* Strong interpersonal skills, intellectual rigour and curiosity, and ability to work as part of a team
* Certifications with any of the mentioned vendors would be a bonus
* While not necessary, the ideal candidate would also have exposure with the following;
* Suse Rancher and Harvester
* Kubernetes
