About the Role
As an effective member in a busy team environment, the Receptionist is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to our Intensive Care Unit team and visitors to the Intensive Care Unit.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing a welcoming and inclusive environment to all patients and visitors
* Answering the telephone to address queries
* Greeting visitors at reception
* Registering patient details
* Preparation of files and patient lists for daily admissions
* Liaising with patients, visitors, Intensive Care Unit and other hospital staff
The successful candidate will need excellent computer skills, and be proficient in Microsoft 365. The candidate will have the ability to organise and adapt to changing demands, and have exceptional communication skills to work in a fast paced environment.
What We're Looking For
* Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong administrative, clerical, and reception experience in confidential environments, preferably healthcare
* Skilled in planning, developing, and implementing systems to support efficient unit operations and activities
* Strong communication and liaison skills with the ability to assist, advise, and respond to routine issues across all levels of staff and external stakeholders
* Detail-oriented team player with the ability to work collaboratively while remaining self-directed and organised
