Remuneration
Staff Specialist: $278,355 to $376,068 per annum full time equivalent depending on experience. Additional temporary allowances are paid where applicable.
VMO Remuneration: As per current applicable NSW Health VMO Remuneration rates.
Remuneration as a Senior Specialist will be considered and is subject to CE Approval.
We welcome applications from Trainees who will attain Fellowship within the Clinical Year.

What You'll Be Doing
Providing contemporary comprehensive Specialist Psychiatry services at the primary facility and other facilities where applicable for optimal patient outcomes delivering a healthy community through quality care. Positions include the specialties of:
* Adult Inpatient
* Adult Community
* Child and Adolescent
* Older Persons
* Addiction Psychiatry
* Consultation Liaison
Providing clinical leadership, participate in quality improvement activities and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.
Qualifications
* Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Psychiatrist and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways.
* Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Psychiatry at the role delineation of the service.
* Accredited ECT provider or willingness to work towards same for all adult related specialities.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
* Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
* Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
* Valid unrestricted drivers' licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment for some roles – please refer to specific postion descriptions.

Location
This role is based in the Northern NSW Local Health District, which covers the region from Tweed Heads in the north to Nymboida and Grafton in the south and includes eight hospitals and four Multi-Purpose Services (MPS) facilities. Hospital locations are Ballina, Byron, Casino, Grafton, Lismore, Maclean, Murwillumbah, and Tweed Heads. MPS facilities are located at Bonalbo, Kyogle, Nimbin, and Urbenville.
