About the Role
Based in Moonah, Tasmania and reporting to the Accounting Lead, this broad and varied role will give you excellent exposure across the business. Drawing on your accounting background, you'll be trained to support consistent financial management and reporting across the Group. You'll play a key role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, taxation laws, and statutory requirements, while supporting continuous improvement across finance operations.
You'll work closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders, building strong relationships and partnering with leaders across the organisation to drive sound financial decision-making.
About you
You're an adaptable and analytical accounting professional who takes pride in accuracy and continuous improvement. You communicate financial information clearly, and you're comfortable managing multiple priorities across monthly and annual reporting cycles.
Your experience with large ERP systems allows you to analyse data, interpret results, and prepare insightful management reports. You're curious, proactive, and eager to develop both your technical and professional skills.
Ideally, you have completed or are progressing towards your CA or CPA qualification and have at least 3- 4 years of accounting experience.
You'll also have demonstrated capability in:
* Month end closing, including preparing and posting journals
* Preparation and ownership of Balance Sheet reconciliations
* Month end and Management Reporting, including variance analysis
* Investigating and resolving accounting discrepancies
* Administering payroll accurately and confidentially
* Supporting indirect tax compliance (FBT, Payroll Tax, US State Taxes, BAS)
* Assisting with short-term cash forecasting
* Collaborating across departments to enhance processes and systems
