Role Overview

We are seeking an APS6 Entry Level Program Manager to lead and coordinate the recruitment and program delivery of Treasury's graduate, entry level and enterprise-wide recruitment processes.

About the Role

This role sits within Treasury's Entry Level Programs (ELP) team in the People and Organisational Strategy Branch (Human Resources). The team delivers the department's graduate, entry level and enterprise-wide recruitment processes, supporting future workforce needs.

The APS6 role leads and coordinates activities including recruitment and program delivery for entry level and bulk recruitment, assessment design, recruitment marketing, contract and provider management, and end‐to‐end project coordination. It ensures recruitment activities are delivered efficiently, compliantly and to a high standard. The role operates in a fast‐paced environment with multiple competing priorities, coordinating complex and time‐critical recruitment activities across graduate, entry level and enterprise‐wide recruitment rounds including APS and Executive Assistant bulk recruitment. The role requires sound judgement, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.

Stakeholder engagement spans business areas, senior leaders, universities, external recruitment providers, other APS agencies and students. The role also supports graduate recruitment marketing and outreach, attends career and university events, manages candidates and provides advice on assessment approaches that comply with APS legislation and policy. Occasional interstate travel may be required.

Core Requirements

* Ability to work under limited direction in a high‐tempo environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities at once.
* Strong stakeholder‐management skills, building productive relationships and communicating clearly with a range of internal and external audiences.
* Strong communication skills, including providing clear advice and engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Demonstrated problem‐solving skills and the ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in recruitment processes and program delivery.
* Ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions in a fast‐paced and complex operational environment.

Highly Regarded

* Project‐management skills, including planning, coordinating and delivering complex activities to agreed timeframes.
* Experience in recruitment or people‐related functions, particularly bulk or entry‐level recruitment.
* Sound understanding of APS recruitment legislation, merit principles and requirements, and the ability to apply them in recruitment settings.
* Experience designing or coordinating selection and assessment activities, including interviews, written tasks or other assessment methods.
* Experience supervising staff, allocating work, providing guidance and supporting performance and development.
* Experience in marketing, attraction activities or career events is desirable.
