Responsibilities
* Reprocessing Operating Suite instrumentation
* Operating and monitoring sterilisation equipment
* Maintaining sterile stock levels across the hospital
* Ensuring compliance with infection prevention and control standards
* Assisting with quality assurance and documentation processes
* Identifying and escalating equipment faults or process issues
* Working collaboratively with perioperative services, wards and clinical teams to meet patient care needs
Qualifications

* Demonstrate a strong commitment to safe, high‐quality patient care
* Understanding of infection prevention and control standards, including Australian Standard 5369:2023
* Demonstrated understanding of Work Health & Safety requirements in a healthcare environment
* Physical ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including manual handling and use of PPE/respiratory equipment as required
* Commitment to NSW Health policies, Code of Conduct and CORE Values
* Previous experience in a Sterilising Services Department (CSSD) or healthcare environment is highly regarded but not essential.
Essential Requirements
* Currently undertaking Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (HLT37015-01) or willingness to obtain within 12 months of appointment
