Role
Volunteer Coordinator – a permanent, part‐time position (2 days per week) based at St Leonards. The role requires travel around Northern Sydney and a valid driver's licence; a travel allowance is provided. You will develop, manage and enhance our Northern Sydney Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme programme, ensuring volunteer service aligns with HammondCare's mission and strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities
* Volunteer management and oversight: recruit, train and support volunteers; implement engagement strategies and facilitate professional development.
* Provide expert advice on volunteer engagement and best practices to local teams.
* Develop and evaluate workforce plans, ensure supervision and feedback maintain service standards.
* Coordinate bi‐annual events such as National Volunteer's Week and Christmas.
* Stakeholder engagement: build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, integrate volunteer support with managers, pastoral care and healthcare professionals.
* Represent HammondCare in sector networks, forums and community initiatives.
* Communicate with patients, residents and clients to identify volunteer engagement needs.
* Operational excellence: oversee data management systems, monitor and evaluate service effectiveness, support continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
* Commitment to engage with HammondCare's Christian mission and values.
* Experience in volunteer coordination or programme management in healthcare, aged care or community services.
* Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate and develop a team and to collaborate effectively with staff.
* High‐level administrative, analytical and problem‐solving skills.
* Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, database management).
* Strong conflict resolution skills.
* Passion for working in aged care or health.
* Empathy and compassion.
* Strong knowledge of volunteer management principles, compliance and risk management.
* Experience delivering training to volunteers.
* Proven ability to lead, mentor and support a diverse team of volunteers.
