About the Role
Gov Recruit is seeking up to two (2) experienced Senior Systems Engineers to join a Federal Government ICT team responsible for supporting critical infrastructure and operations across Australia.
This is a high-impact opportunity to work in a secure environment, providing hands-on technical support, installations, and maintenance of complex ICT systems. The role is fully onsite in Canberra and requires an active NV2 security clearance (PV highly desirable).

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver domestic ICT technical support, including travel to agency and partner locations within Australia (occasional international travel may be required).
* Install and support IT, network, and communications systems.
* Review and maintain installation documentation across multiple ICT systems.
* Provide general technical advice and hands-on support.
* Undertake installation and maintenance of physical network, server, desktop, printer, and UPS infrastructure.
* Create and update Standard Operating Procedures.
* Participate in after-hours and weekend taskings as required.
* Engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels while working autonomously or as part of a team.

Required Skills & Experience (Essential)
* Proven experience working with complex ICT systems.
* Hands-on ability to install and support end-user desktop software and hardware.
* Installation and troubleshooting experience with printers (hardware and software).
* Solid understanding of UPS installation and maintenance.
* Base understanding of physical network and server infrastructure, including cabling.
* Active NV2 security clearance (PV desirable).

* Knowledge of logical networking concepts: DHCP, subnetting, VLANs, routing & switching.
* Open Cabling Registration.
* Senior First Aid certification.
* White Card, Confined Space, Working at Heights, Asbestos Awareness certifications.
* Understanding of Australian Government physical and electronic security requirements.
