Randstad is currently working with a long term client to recruit a Category Specialist. This is a newly created position in a company with a proven history of promoting from within and a manager who will work with you to develop a clear career path. This is a full time permanent role.
Your new role will involve:
* Sourcing from existing long-standing agreements
* Assisting internal customers to accurately scope requirements, ensuring timelines and quality are met while always keeping the end user front of mind
* Supplier relationship management, working with suppliers to form mutually beneficial agreements that ensure service, governance and sustainability requirements are met
* Working under the guidance of a skilled manager to negotiate cost and added value into your contracts, both pre and post execution
About you:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a procurement role, services experience beneficial
* You will be a relationship driven individual
* Technical procurement experience and skills is a must for this role, however the stakeholder management skills are the most important - you will be skilled at influencing outcomes internally and externally
* Willingess to learn and develop into a highly skilled and adaptable senior procurement specialist
