Systems Integration Engineer - Medical Technology Location: Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane Role type: Field-based Travel: Up to 50% across Australia and New Zealand Employment type: Full-time The Opportunity Join a global leader in medical technology in a role that sits at the intersection of IT infrastructure, clinical environments and patient care. As a Systems Integration Engineer, you will support the deployment and integration of communication technology across hospital sites in Australia and New Zealand. This is a hands-on, field-based role suited to someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving and working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You may be an experienced field engineer, systems engineer or technical implementation specialist - or you may be earlier in your career with strong technical fundamentals, great communication skills and the right mindset to grow into the role. What You'll Be Doing You will work closely with hospital IT teams, clinical stakeholders and internal project teams to support the successful implementation of critical communication platforms. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the installation, configuration and validation of hardware and software across hospital environments Assisting with systems integration between medical technology platforms and hospital systems Troubleshooting technical issues across servers, networks, devices and connectivity Supporting wireless assessments and network optimisation activities Working with clinical teams to understand workflow requirements and translate these into practical technical solutions Acting as a trusted technical contact on-site during implementation and go-live phases Managing your schedule and priorities while travelling to hospital sites across ANZ What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who combines technical capability with strong communication, professionalism and cultural fit. You do not need to tick every technical box. The right attitude, learning agility and ability to work well with customers will be just as important as your existing experience. Ideally, you will bring: Experience in field engineering, technical support, systems implementation, networking or infrastructure Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux environments A solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and wireless networks Strong troubleshooting skills and a calm, solutions-focused approach Confidence working with customers, internal teams and technical stakeholders Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow through A proactive, coachable and team-oriented mindset Willingness to travel regularly across Australia and New Zealand Experience with healthcare environments, HL7/ADT, nurse call systems, patient monitoring, Ekahau or clinical workflows would be highly regarded, but is not essential for the right person.
