This is a 6 month fixed term, part‐time (0.6 FTE) position commencing Term 3, 2026.
Avonvale Primary School (PS) is a small, community‐based school located in Northam, on Ballardong Boodja.
Avonvale PS seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Principal to join our team. The role involves providing educational leadership and supporting a culture of high performance and high care.
Responsibilities
* Enact the school vision, values, and moral purpose.
* Provide educational leadership in teaching and learning, including the delivery of strategies and targets outlined in the school's Business Plan.
* Develop and implement monitoring data‐informed teaching practices aligned with our high‐impact instructional model.
* Lead improvement, innovation, and change across the school.
* Build strong professional relationships with staff, students, parents, networks, and the wider community.
* Support the development of a culture of high performance and high care.
Qualifications & Eligibility
* Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or holder of a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
* Valid Working With Children Check before commencing.
* Relevant experience in educational leadership and a commitment to building a culture of high performance.
