Our Opportunity
As part of the graduate program, you will work across teams, deliver designs and reports, and receive on‑the‑job training in mechanical engineering. You will be supervised by a professional engineer or project manager.
Responsibilities
- Produce designs, reports and other project engineering deliverables.
- Perform assignments under direct supervision.
- Develop engineering and delivery skills.
- Apply engineering techniques and procedures.
- Be a team player and lead where appropriate.
- Contribute to a diverse and inclusive organisation.
- Commit to HDR values and safety.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Remaining or completed relevant tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Graduated before January 2026.
- 0–2 years of relevant work experience.
- Robust interest in building engineering services.
- Passion for learning and commitment to skill development.
- Undergraduate experience in a consulting environment is advantageous.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Commitment to employee‑owned culture and active participation.
