We are looking to employ an enthusiastic and committed Warehouse Manager to lead our Sunshine Coast operations. The position is available at our warehouse/production facility in Coolum Beach.
Your role will be to manage the day-to-day operation of our dispatch and production plant to ensure the efficient fulfillment of customer orders, stock control and oversee the output and quality of all manufactured products.
Key responsibilities
* Organise and lead the warehouse floor team of picker/packers to achieve accurate order fulfillment
* Leading a team of 18 people, including managing day-to-day personnel matters
* Manage daily warehousing activities, including receiving goods, picking, packing, dispatch, stock control, and logistics coordination
* Oversee the operation of our production team and maintain product quality
* Manage critical raw material purchases and maintain effective stock control
* Manage stock transfers from our Brisbane manufacturing facility to maintain adequate stock of fast moving items and fulfillment of customer orders
* Managing the monthly stocktake, including variance analysis and reporting to Head Office
* Liaise with the sales supervisor to ensure customer orders are delivered on time and in full
* Check loads/paperwork thoroughly before delivery to ensure accuracy
* Planning deliveries to multiple regions in the Sunshine Coast area and surrounding regions
* Assist the team with loading/unloading trucks, as required
* Enforce & comply with company health & safety policies
Ideal candidate
* Proven experience in leading a small team, ideally with at least 3 years experience
* Take a hands on approach to their work – work in the team as well as manage it
* Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedures and policies
* Mechanical knowledge is desirable with the ability to identify and solve manufacturing issues
* Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment, including chain of responsibility
* Enthusiastic, reliable and attention to detail focused
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong work ethic
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Physically fit to meet demands of the role
Certifications
* Forklift licence (ESSENTIAL)
