About the Role
- Experience and knowledge relating to the installation and maintenance of mechanical plant and equipment, in single and multi-storey buildings similar to large, major health care facilities, including:
- Repairs and maintenance of steam systems.
- Repair and maintenance of pumps, compressors, pulleys, fans and other mechanical plant.
- Minor fabrication.
- Minor repairs to some non-building related equipment.
- Maintenance of building plant, including boilers, sterilisers with incorporated steam generators, and other machinery.
- Ability to prioritise works, projects and timeframes, manage costs and make responsible and accurate recommendations, to produce an effective work output in terms of quality and quantity, without supervision. (duration, parts, equipment, people, contracts, permits, isolations).
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team or individually, and experience managing service contractors and/or interacting, communicating and negotiating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
