Job Title: Senior Lecturer
Job Description:
The Rural Clinical School of Western Australia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced medical educator to deliver world-class innovative medical education and training at the Bunbury site.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent teaching skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Organise and teach RCSWA students, support preceptors and host practitioners, and implement learning opportunities through collaboration with local agencies.
* Engage in research or evaluation to improve rural health, and pursue growth in academic areas such as clinical skills or services based on personal interests.
* Develop local educational programs and rural training pathways in consultation with medical practitioners, contributing to both local and statewide RCSWA strategies.
* Contribute to curriculum development, assessment marking and provide student mentoring.
Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience as a preceptor and/or supervisor of medical students and/or junior doctors or registrars, and be able to practice medicine in rural WA.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Registered, or able to be registered with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner.
* Work in the respective RCSWA site and the ability to network with rural practitioners in the region.
* Demonstrated commitment to the principles and practice of Indigenous health in rural and regional areas.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
