About the Role
As our BDM, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by identifying new opportunities, nurturing long-term client relationships to drive repeat sales, and positioning Hargo Engineering as a trusted partner in precision CNC manufacturing. This role blends your technical expertise with strategic sales and relationship-building skills. You will work closely with the CEO to drive revenue growth, including customer and pipeline management, and sales.
What you will be doing:
· New Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities, develop sales strategies, and manage a structured pipeline ensuring opportunities are tracked and effectively prioritised.
· Repeat Sales: Build strong client relationships to increase share of wallet, provide technical advice, and deliver exceptional customer service.
· Proactive Problem-Solving: Demonstrate a solution focused approach to address customer requirements, no matter how challenging.
· Technical Quoting & Estimation: Interpret engineering drawings, calculate accurate cost estimates, and prepare detailed quotations.
· Collaborate for Success: work closely with your colleagues to set and maintain customer service excellence.
· Market & Industry Engagement: Represent Hargo at industry events, monitor market trends, and provide strategic insights.
· Administration & Reporting: Maintain CRM records, track key metrics, and support forecasting and budgeting.
What are we looking for
· Precision CNC Manufacturing Industry Experience: Proven experience in sales or business development within CNC machining/manufacturing, demonstrating a strong technical understanding of CNC processes and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
· Proven Track Records: Demonstrated success in closing sales in a business development role, with demonstrated success in meeting/exceeding sales targets.
· Outstanding Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills, leveraged to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
· Positive Attitude: High energy, can-do approach and an unwavering commitment to servicing customers.
· Highly regarded: Qualifications in mechanical/manufacturing engineering, proficiency with CAD/CAM or ERP/MRP systems, and a well-developed industry network.
