We're growing fast and looking for an experienced Insurance Estimator/Supervisor to join our Newcastle team.
About the role
The Estimator/Supervisor serves as the primary point of contact for our clients, their customers, and subcontractors throughout the Building and Restorations process. This dual role is responsible for preparing detailed estimates for residential and commercial properties damaged by insured events, while also managing and supervising the delivery of reinstatement works onsite.
Interstate travel to support other offices during periods of increased demand following major events may occasionally be required.
This role will service Newcastle and surrounding areas.
Role and Responsibilities
* Conduct site assessments, prepare estimates, and scopes of work in accordance with client's PDS
* Liaise with insurance partners, clients, and trades
* Support project delivery and report to the Construction Manager
* Oversee and track repairs for properties affected by insured events, including managing costs and quality
* Ensure compliance with OH&S and legal requirements
* An understanding of the BCA and Australian Standards is preferred
Skills and Experience
* Experience in insurance repairs and trade background (preferred)
* Competent computer skills across various platforms and software's
* White Card
* Knowledge of NCC, building regulations, and WHS
* Strong communication and documentation skills
* Tech-savvy with repair management systems
* Detail-oriented, motivated, and safety-conscious
