Job Summary
Senior Family & Peer Liaison supports and leads community engagement, promotes Connect services, and empowers carers, families and supporters through inclusive care. Salary: $44.58 – 47.97 phr (SCHADS Level 4B) plus leave loading, super and salary packaging.
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to champion Connect services.
* Promote Connect services within the community and support Family Peer Workers to provide compassionate, inclusive care.
* Use personal lived or living experience of supporting someone with a mental illness, including co‐occurring substance use or addiction, to guide and lead Family Peer Workers.
* Identify and facilitate opportunities that increase carer inclusion and capacity to engage with services.
* Outreach to hidden or hard‐to‐reach community members who face barriers to accessing support through Connect centres.
Qualifications
* Personal experience of supporting a person with a mental illness, or psychological distress and recovery.
* Certificate IV/Diploma in Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs, or a tertiary qualification in social science with at least one year of relevant work experience in the mental health sector or intentional Peer Support Training.
* Current valid Driver's License and ability to undertake travel for the role.
* Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check.
* Right to work within Australia.
* Satisfactory National Police Records Check (valid within the last 12 months).
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
