The centre
Our client has a range of, purpose-built centres across Sydney and we are looking for the right leader with passion and commitment to deliver exceeding outcomes for educators, children, families and the wider community in the Penrith Area.
This amazing service is 80 place and is located near public transport and a shopping centre. The centre cares for children aged six weeks to six years and we are open from 7.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.
Our program is reflective of The Early Years Learning Framework, and aims to incorporate the learning outcomes that encompass the whole child, including their sense of identity, connections and contributions to the world, sense of well-being, being confident and involved learners, and effective communicators."
About the position
We are seeking an experienced and Qualified educator to lead our warm and caring preschool team.
You will have knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and experience documenting children's learning. As a room leader you will be skilled in building strong relationships with families and be confident in sharing information on a daily basis. You will understand the importance of collaborative relationships with children, work respectfully as a team member, have well rounded communication skills and be committed to going above and beyond with curiosity and an openness to learning.
We are also looking for Certificate III, Or Diploma qualified educators to assist in the centre.
Skills / qualifications / experience
Certificate III, Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care.
Experience in leading a room.
Approved first aid qualification; anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management certificates
Working with Children Check clearance
A flexible, mature and friendly team player who is a confident communicator verbal and written.
Understanding of child protection responsibilities as a mandatory reporter and child safe principles
Commitment to a protected work environment
Working and contributing to a team
Skill and confidence in documenting children learning
