Assistant Principal – Teaching & Learning
St Joseph's School Waroona seeks an enthusiastic, dynamic and relational educational leader to join our leadership team in this role, commencing 20 July 2026. The position is 0.4–0.6 FTE teaching load with the remainder dedicated to leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the day‐to‐day leadership and operation of the school
* Lead curriculum initiatives and support the implementation of the Catholic School Improvement Plan (CSIP)
* Support teachers in teaching and learning, professional growth and development
* Assist in students with disabilities (SWD) programs and intervention/support programs
* Guide school improvement through data analysis, planning and curriculum implementation
* Undertake forward planning alongside the Principal
* Build strong, positive relationships with students, staff, families and community stakeholders
* Model a strong commitment to Catholic education and the life of the school

* Has sound IT and digital learning skills and can support staff in this space
* Is passionate about contemporary teaching and learning practices
* Can lead staff with warmth, positivity and professionalism

Selection Criteria
* Demonstrated commitment to the ethos and values of Catholic education
* Leadership experience or capacity to lead curriculum and school improvement initiatives
* Strong understanding of contemporary pedagogy and curriculum implementationExperience supporting staff professional learning and growth
* Knowledge of differentiation, intervention and Students with Disabilities processes desirable
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Current TRBWA registration and working with children check required
Qualifications Required
* TRBWA registration
* Relevant teaching qualifications
* Accreditation to lead in a Catholic school (or willingness to obtain)
* Leadership experience or qualifications desirable but not compulsory
