Training provided & learning outcomes to be achieved
At this organisation, the Internship Program offers hands‐on experience in innovative reforestation technology and ecological restoration strategies. Interns will directly contribute to our mission by using advanced technologies, including drone reforestation, AI, and ecological data analysis, to restore ecosystems across the globe.
Interns will be assigned to one of our key projects, based on their field of study and interests:
* AI and Data Analysis for Reforestation: Interns will work on enhancing AI algorithms for terrain and vegetation analysis, aiding in the selection of ideal reforestation sites and tracking plant growth after planting.
* Engineering and Prototyping: Interns will assist in designing and developing custom seed dispensers and seed spheres, engaging in CAD design, prototyping, and field testing.
* Ecological Impact Analysis: This project offers interns the chance to engage in research and fieldwork, evaluating the environmental impacts of reforestation, including changes in biodiversity and carbon sequestration.
Training Plan
* Orientation and Onboarding (Week 1)
o Introduction to the organisation's mission, culture, and team.
o Overview of current projects and technologies.
o Safety training for fieldwork and drone operations.
* Technical Workshops (Weeks 2-3)
o Training in software tools relevant to the intern's project, such as CAD, Python, or GIS for ecological data analysis.
o Seminars on drone technology and its applications in reforestation.
* Shadowing and Mentoring (Weeks 4-5)
o Shadowing team members to gain insights into daily operations.
o Regular mentoring sessions to offer guidance on project challenges.
