About the role
We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our Lubricants business on a 12-month max-term contract, based at our Lytton Refinery in Brisbane. This role sits within a standalone and commercially focused business unit, supporting the manufacturing finance function during a critical period of change and operational demand.
Partnering closely with the Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role in delivering accurate costing, financial reporting and insights across the manufacturing operation. The position offers a broad scope, combining cost accounting, month-end reporting and stakeholder engagement with exposure to a complex environment.

Key responsibilities

* Deliver accurate product costings, including raw materials, overheads and transfer pricing
* Prepare monthly P&L reporting, forecasts and variance analysis
* Maintain the manufacturing general ledger, including journals and reconciliations
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure data integrity
* Support budgeting activities, including operating expenditure and product costing
* Analyse and release SKU costings, including new product cost estimates
* Partner with stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision making
* Identify and drive improvements across financial processes, systems and reporting

Qualifications & Experience

* 3–5 years' experience in accounting or external audit, ideally within a commercial environment
* Strong cost accounting or management accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing
* Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups
* Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
* Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret and explain financial data
* Proactive mindset with the ability to navigate manual processes and system complexities
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce, with CA or CPA highly regarded
