Manpower is partnering with an established Sydney commercial builder to appoint an experienced Estimator for its Belrose-based team.
This is a genuine end-to-end estimating role. You will manage tenders from initial review through to submission across commercial, government, education, institutional, refurbishment and fit-out projects.
Most projects sit between $1m and $5m, with some larger tenders up to approximately $12m.
This role will suit an Estimator who enjoys ownership, clear processes and being trusted to make well-reasoned pricing recommendations.

What you'll be doing
You will manage the estimating process across multiple commercial construction tenders, including:
* Reviewing tender documents, drawings, specifications and addenda
* Measuring works and preparing bills of quantities
* Preparing trade scopes and subcontractor packages
* Issuing tender packages to subcontractors and suppliers
* Following up quotes and maintaining market coverage
* Reviewing subcontractor pricing and identifying gaps or exclusions
* Preparing comparison sheets and pricing summaries
* Supporting RFIs, clarifications and post-tender negotiations
* Working with directors and project teams on buildability, programme, risk and margin
* Preparing accurate tender submissions within agreed timeframes
What you'll bring
You do not need to tick every box, but the role is best suited to someone with:
* Estimating experience within commercial construction
* Experience working with a head contractor, commercial builder or similar construction business
* Exposure to projects around $1m to $5m
* Ability to manage tenders independently
* Strong understanding of trade packages, BOQs and subcontractor pricing
* Ability to read architectural, structural and services drawings
* Good Excel skills for comparison sheets and pricing reviews
* Clear communication with subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams
Experience with Cubit Estimating or Cubit Select would be highly regarded.
Experience with Bluebeam, CostX or similar tools may also be considered.
Backgrounds that may align
This role may suit someone from:
* Commercial building
* Government or public-sector construction
* Education, health, council or institutional projects
* Refurbishment and fit-out
* Head contractor estimating
It may be less suited to someone whose experience is limited to single-trade estimating, residential volume housing, supplier-side estimating or insurance repair estimating, unless they have already moved into broader commercial construction estimating.
