Underground Mining Engineer
This residential role in Kalgoorlie-Boulder operates on an 8/6 roster, 12-hour shifts, offering the perfect balance between career progression and lifestyle. * Driving mining success by producing high-impact weekly schedules aligned with monthly and quarterly plans.
* Providing clear, effective work instructions for production and ancillary activities, ensuring smooth operations and safety compliance.
* Overseeing Drill and Blast QA/QC activities to maintain precision and efficiency, enhancing overall performance.
* Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to optimise production outcomes and improve operational strategies.
* Monitoring, reporting, and ensuring seamless compliance with production schedules, helping to deliver on key performance indicators.
* Leading innovative improvement projects to elevate mining efficiency, drive cost savings, and improve best practices.
* Mentoring junior engineers and operational teams, sharing expertise, and fostering professional development within the workforce.
* Engaging in cutting-edge technology initiatives, supporting automation, and improving mining methodologies for long-term sustainability.
To thrive in this role, you'll need
* Experience: Experience with mine design software – Deswik, with the ability to interpret and apply mining plans effectively. Hands‐on underground production experience in a mechanised hard‐rock underground mine (planning experience desirable but not essential). Underground time completion is highly desirable and 2+ years in mining is required.
Qualifications
* Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering.
* Current \"C\" Class Western Australian Driver's Licence (Manual).
* Desirable: St Johns Senior First Aid certification and familiarity with the Work Health & Safety Act and Regulations.

To be considered, underground time completion is highly desirable and 2+ years in mining is required.
