Senior Building Management Systems (BMS) Technician Auburn, NSW Full-Time About the Role An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior BMS Technician to join a growing Automation & Energy team, leading a high-performing group of BMS engineers and technicians across NSW. This role is ideal for a technically strong Senior BMS professional who enjoys mentoring, driving operational performance, and building strong client relationships while remaining hands-on within service delivery. About the Role Working closely with the Automation Service Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the BMS service team, ensuring high-quality service delivery, strong safety performance, energy efficiency outcomes, and operational excellence across a diverse portfolio of clients. You will play a key role in building team culture, mentoring technicians and apprentices, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting the growth of the service division through quoting and client engagement. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and support a team of BMS engineers, technicians, and apprentices Foster a strong culture of teamwork, accountability, and autonomy Coordinate service, maintenance, and remedial works across client sites Consult with clients regarding system performance, maintenance strategies, and lifecycle upgrades Identify and generate opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and optimisation works Prepare quotes for minor works, upgrades, and service improvements Work closely with service coordination teams to prioritise urgent service requirements Ensure all maintenance and remedial works comply with relevant standards and legislation Drive initiatives to bring subcontracted work in-house where appropriate Support operational KPIs, team performance, and customer satisfaction outcomes What We’re Looking For 6 years experience within Building Management Systems (BMS) or building automation Must have Technical trade or tertiary qualifications relevant to automation or controls Proven experience leading service teams in a fast-paced environment Strong knowledge of BMS systems, controls, and networking Excellent communication and client relationship management skills Ability to mentor and develop technical teams Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite Current driver’s licence Key Success Measures Team performance, culture, and engagement Service delivery and operational performance Client satisfaction and relationship management Safety, compliance, and quality outcomes Contribution to business growth through quoting and lifecycle opportunities Why Apply?
