Overview
We are looking for a Post Graduate Fellow in Neurointervention. The Royal Prince Alfred Neurointerventional Service (NIS) provides advanced and comprehensive investigation and treatment of adult related cerebrovascular diseases. The Service offers a comprehensive post‐graduate fellowship training program to develop core skills in the subspecialty field of endovascular and minimally invasive neurological therapies.
Training is provided by six internationally trained neurointerventionalists based at RPAH, recognised by the Conjoint Committee for Recognition of Training in Interventional Neuroradiology (CCINR). There are also opportunities to visit and gain neurointerventional experience at the conjoint training site of John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle.
Responsibilities
The Postgraduate Fellow provides neurointerventional care to patients of the SLHD under the guidance and supervision of consultant staff whilst undertaking training in Neurointervention to fulfil the requirements of the CCINR.
Ensure high standards of professional performance and contribute to an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
Qualifications
* Current medical practitioner, registered or eligible for specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Fellowship of a relevant Australian Medical College (e.g., FRACP with subspecialty qualifications in Neurology; FRACS with subspecialty qualifications in Neurosurgery; or Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award).
* Applicants expected to be awarded their Fellowship prior to, or within three months of, the expected commencement date may be considered.
Salary and Conditions
In accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
