About this role

As an established team with a targeted growth plan we are looking for an experienced Senior Associate to join our Melbourne team. This role supports the Business Services practice and focuses on fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusion. Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is essential to deliver exceptional service and build strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities
* Prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS, FBT, payroll tax returns and provide tax and accounting advice for a broad range of clients, including privately owned businesses, high‐net‐worth families and corporate clients, with exposure to international clients when required.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of commercial structures to assist clients in achieving their business and personal goals.
* Work collaboratively with the private business team locally, nationally and internationally to develop proactive client solutions.
* Build strong client relationships and regularly monitor, review and liaise with them regarding compliance requirements.
* Engage in business development activities designed to enhance your portfolio by focusing on your passion and chosen specialisation.
Qualifications & skills
* Proficiency in both English and Mandarin.
* Experience within a professional service firm working collaboratively with family groups, private businesses and high‐net‐worth individuals.
* Knowledge and demonstrated application of Australian Tax Legislation, working across a broad subsection of Australian corporates, privately owned businesses and individuals tax matters.
* CA/CPA qualified with a solid base in finance/accounting or a related degree.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders at all levels of client organisations.
* Demonstrated flexible, adaptable and innovative approach to complex problem solving.
