Early Childhood Educator (Diploma Room Leader)

Role Overview
As a Diploma Room Leader at Explorers, you will lead your room – guiding educators, shaping a research-informed program, and building meaningful relationships with children and families. Working closely with our Educational Leader, you take ownership over your room, mentor junior Educators, model intentional teaching, and create a nurturing environment where every child thrives.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading, guiding and mentoring the educators in your room to deliver high-quality early education and care
* Designing, implementing and reflecting on an engaging program aligned to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard
* Working alongside the Educational Leader to embed intentional teaching, critical reflection, and the assessment and planning cycle
* Building strong, respectful partnerships with children and families, and supporting them through orientation, transitions and the move to school
* Upholding child safety, wellbeing and our Child Safe Standards in every interaction, and acting as a role model for ethical, professional practice
* Contributing to continuous improvement and the service's Quality Improvement Plan, and acting as the responsible person on duty when required

About you
You are an experienced Educator with genuine enthusiasm for and deep commitment to early childhood education. You bring high energy, a love for nature-based play, and the ability to connect with and nurture children through their developmental journey.
You will demonstrate:
* Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
* Experience delivering high-quality early education and care
* Strong understanding of early childhood development and the EYLF
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a cohesive team
* Current Working With Children Check (WWCC), First Aid Certificate and CPR
