Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Civil Equipment Fitter Full-Time | Trades & Services TRS Resourcing is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Fitter to join a leading provider of specialised civil and industrial services based in Melbourne’s Northern Suburbs. This is a hands-on role working across a modern fleet of vacuum, jetting, and civil plant equipment. You’ll be stepping into a position where autonomy, technical capability, and reliability are highly valued. This role is not suited to apprentices or junior trades. The Role You will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of a specialised fleet, including: Vacuum trucks (NDD / hydro excavation) High-pressure water jetting units Heavy rigid and combination trucks Excavators and civil plant Pumps, vacuum systems, and associated equipment Your responsibilities will include: Preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing Breakdown diagnostics and repairs (workshop and field) Fault finding across hydraulic, mechanical, and fluid systems Compliance inspections and reporting Supporting operational uptime across critical equipment About You To be successful, you will have: Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or Plant Fitting Minimum 3 years post-trade experience Strong hands-on experience with vacuum trucks, jetting systems, and pumps ( essential ) Confidence working independently with minimal supervision Solid diagnostic and troubleshooting capability HR Licence (desirable) White Card (required) What’s On Offer Full-time, long-term opportunity Competitive remuneration based on experience Well-maintained, purpose-built fleet Variety of work across specialised equipment Stable team environment with consistent workflow About TRS Resourcing TRS Resourcing partners with leading organisations across the transport, engineering, and industrial sectors, connecting skilled tradespeople with quality employers.
