The Role
We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Cellar Door & Events Assistant to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, has an eye for detail, and thrives in a dynamic workplace. You will be involved in both the day-to-day running of the cellar door and supporting our busy calendar of weddings, functions, and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable wine tastings and outstanding customer service.
- Assist with day-to-day cellar door operations including set-up, stock management, sales, and maintaining a clean, inviting space.
- Support the coordination and delivery of weddings and events, including set-up, pack-down, and guest service.
- Work collaboratively with the team to create welcoming, memorable experiences for every visitor.
- Ensure compliance with RSA and workplace health & safety standards.
About You
- Previous hospitality, events, or retail experience (wine knowledge a bonus but training provided).
- Excellent communication and people skills with a qualified, approachable manner.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
- RSA certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Physically capable of event set-up tasks (lifting/moving furniture, stock, etc).
